Bridesmaid Brunch {STYLED SHOOT}
Aislinn (as in Aislinn Kate Photography) has always been a true friend and great vendor to work with since the beginning. We met in 2013 and quickly became “Friend-ors” (a mash up of Friend and Vendor). In the wedding world, “Friend-ors” are those people you are not only excited to work with because of their amazing talent, but also the people you have just GOT to go give a big hug around the neck because you are so happy to see them. Friend-ors are one of those things that make this job so much fun.
When Aislinn showed me her new Garden at the Wave Studio, I immediately wanted to do a Styled Shoot. (For those wondering what a Styled Shoot is - it’s a mock wedding, or other event, that is created and coordinated by a group of vendors to show off their work. Styled shoots are a great way for vendors to showcase a certain style they would like to do more, bring new ideas to their Brides, practice the style for an upcoming wedding, or just let loose and have some fun with a wild style they usually wouldn’t get to do.)
The look that came to mind that I knew would go great with the garden, was a soft blush color, and a fun ‘garden party’ feel. Blush is my favorite color, and something I wanted to showcase more in my work, and what’s one thing that the majority of weddings encompass? A Bridesmaid Brunch.
Hosting a Bridesmaid Brunch is a great way for a Bride to really show her ladies how much she appreciates all they are doing to help her celebrate her big day. It really is quite a lot of work (and money!) to be a Bridesmaid! So it’s always a good idea to show these ladies some love. This is also a great time to celebrate your mom, mother in law, grandmother, aunts and even someone else that you are close to and/or that hosted some sort of party for you. (ie- The hose of your engagement party, bachelorette party, or Bridal shower) A brunch also gives you a great time to distribute gifts to your maids, depending on what you are gifting, or at a minimum a sweet card expressing your love and gratitude.
So let’s get right to it. There are SO many beautiful pictures from this one shoot- I can’t possibly keep it to one blog post. There will be more to come for sure, and I can’t wait to introduce a few new Vendors (new to me), and a few ideas that you may not have thought of yet.
Amy, with Aislinn Kate Photography, was the wonderful photographer for this shoot- and I could not have been more excited to get to work with her! She did such an amazing job, and she is so sweet. I can’t wait to work with her more in the future!
I have so much more to say and show you from this one beautiful shoot!!! I’m pretty sure I could do a whole blog post on each and every vendor… and maybe I will… but for now, I’ll stick to a few fun ideas I had specifically for this styled shoot that I think will be helpful in the future.
Please be sure to send all my wonderful “Friendors” some love!!!
