PS Cobia Photography {Vendor Spotlight}

This sweet lady right here is Pevee Cobia. Owner and photographer at PS Cobia Photography. She is one of the most genuine people I know. And I LOVE when someone can just be real, totally comfortable to be themselves with you, and make you feel comfortable at the same time. Pevee does just that. So it’s no wonder why she gets gorgeous pics of all her clients (myself and my family included!)- because everyone feels at ease and happy to be around her. I love her work so much that I have a styled photo shoot in the works- and I am so excited for it!

I recently sat down with her to go over some of her favorite things about weddings, read on to hear what we chatted about…

Sweet P weddings (SPW): Tell us a little about yourself.

Ps Cobia Photography: Hi! My name is Pevee Cobia and I'm a recent bride AND a recent mother of one. I love national parks and live for the outdoors (except for bugs - eww). I am also a chick who dresses for comfort and I am currently obsessed with fanny packs.

SPW: Hahaha! The Fanny packs crack me up! … How long have you been in the wedding industry?

SPW: Tell us a little about your business.

Ps Cobia Photography: Weddings, elopements, and engagements have got my full attention and I make sure that your photos are fun, romantic, and timeless.

SPW: Tell us about the funniest moment that you have ever witnessed at a wedding.

Ps Cobia Photography: I was recently at a wedding where the best man, was giving his speech- which as we all know - best man speeches are always a comedic event in itself. This best man was a character - funny and super outgoing. But before he had met the bride, he had walked into a bar with the groom. They both walked in and saw a stunner of a lady at the end of the bar. Once the best man laid eyes on her, he yelled “DIBS!”

I thought it was hilarious & cute because the quiet reserved friend (the Groom) is who won the lady, which ended up being his forever bride.

SPW: What a cute story!! What do you love most about weddings?

Ps Cobia Photography: I love what I call, "the build up."

The cool thing about being the photographer is that you get to know the bride and groom pretty well and I get to observe how their emotions progress throughout the day. From seeing the excitement as they both get ready to the tears at the altar. But my favorite emotion is when I see them both - relaxed. Typically this doesn't come till after the ceremony during their husband and wife photos. I get to watch the dynamics between the two and there is always so much love and fun in the air, I love it so much.

SPW: Oh I love the excited anticipation too!! What is the most unique attribute of your business?

Ps Cobia Photography: My goal is to make sure you and your babe are as comfortable as possible, capture you in a way where you look and feel confident in your own skin, and ultimately have fun through it all.

SPW: What is your busiest month?

Ps Cobia Photography: It varies by the year but this year it was April

SP: What is one thing you wish your brides knew about you?

Ps Cobia Photography: I get things done and I am a total girl boss but at the same time, I am a huge goof ball that loves to smile and have a good time!
